Ingredients
- 2 c. scalded milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 T. shortening
- 2 T. yeast
- 3 T. sugar
- 4-6 c. flour (make a sticky dough)
- 2 tsp. salt
Directions
Scald milk, set aside. Put yeast, salt, sugar and shortening in bowl. Pour milk over. Let bubble. Put in eggs and flour. Beat 7-10 minutes. Make 24 balls of dough. Roll each ball of dough into a snake and then knot. Melt margarine and brush over the top. Let rise. Bake at 400° for 15-20 minutes.
