Mrs. Field's Cinnamon Butter Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3 T. white sugar
  • 1 c. dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1 T. cinnamon
  • ½ c. sugar
  • 2 ½ c. flour
  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. butter
  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 24 oz. chocolate chips
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (8 oz.) Hershey bar, grated
  • 5 c. blended oatmeal (measure oatmeal and blend until very fine in blender)
  • 3 c. chopped nuts

Directions

Mix all ingredients, except 3 T. white sugar and cinnamon. Make 1" balls. Roll in 3 T. white sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 18-20 minutes at 300°.

Cream butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add chocolate chips. Hershey bar, and nuts. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 375°. Yield-112 cookies. (Recipe is easily halved).
