Peach Cobbler

Batter

Ingredients

  • ¼ c. margarine
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • ½ c. sugar
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 c. flour
  • ½ c. milk

Fruit

Ingredients

  • 1 qt bottled peaches or 1 qt. fresh sliced fruit
  • 1-2 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ c. sugar
  • 1 c. fruit juice

Directions

Cream butter and sugar. In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients. Add to the creamed butter the dry ingredients alternating with milk. Beat well. Grease 8x8 glass pan. Spoon batter into baking dish. Take 1 qt bottles peaches or 1 qt. fresh sliced fruit. Add ½ c. sugar, 1-2 tsp. cinnamon, and 1 c. fruit juice. Layer fruit on top of batter. Pour juice over top. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes. Double recipe for large glass pan (9x13).
