Pie Crust

Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • ⅓ c. + 1 Tbs. shortening
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbs. cold water

Directions

Measure flour and salt into bowl. Cut in shortening thoroughly. Sprinkle in water 1 Tbs. at a time, mixing until all flour is moistened. Gather dough into 2 equal size balls; shape into flattened rounds between 2 sheets of wax paper. Roll into round ⅛" thick. Place in pie tin. Flute edge. Prick bottom and side thoroughly with fork. Bake at 475° for 8-10 minutes.
