Soft Cutout Cookies
Ingredients
- ½ c. shortening
- 3 ½ c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- ½ c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions
Cream sugar and shortening. Add egg and mix. Add milk and vanilla; mix. Add flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix well. Roll out in flour to about ¼" thickness. Bake at 400° for exactly 5 minutes. Cookies will be white and soft.
