Hamburger Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion
  • 3 cans consommé
  • 1 ½ lb. ground beef
  • 2 cans water
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes or 4-5 large tomatoes, peeled
  • 4 bouillon cubes
  • 6 carrots sliced
  • ½ tsp. thyme
  • 4 potatoes, diced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ½-¾ c. macaroni
  • 2 tsp. salt or less
  • celery
  • 10 peppercorns, to taste

Directions

Sauté onion and ground beef. Mix all ingredients, except noodles in a stockpot. Cook for 45 minutes. Add the noodles the last 15 minutes.
